Water Pump Inlet Tube - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the upper engine oil indicator tube bolt (1).





3. Raise vehicle on hoist.
4. Remove the belly pan.
5. Partially drain the cooling system.Service and Repair.
6. Remove the lower engine oil indicator tube bolt (1).
7. Remove the engine oil indicator tube from the bottom of the vehicle.





8. Remove the lower radiator hose from the water inlet tube (2).
9. Remove the heater hoses from the water inlet tube (2).
10. Remove the EGR cooler return hose (6).
11. Remove the water bypass hose (4) at the thermostat (5).
12. Remove the engine oil cooler return hose (1) (only if equipped with engine oil cooler).
13. Remove the water inlet tube bolt (3).
14. Remove the water inlet tube (2) by twisting and then turning out. Discard the O-ring seal.
