Coolant Vacuum Switch Cold Open (CVSCO)
The CVSCO serves the same purpose as the CCEVS. The Coolant Vacuum Switch Cold Open is used to improve hot driveability by preventing the operation of the power heat valve system (if equipped) and air injection switch system (if equipped) after the coolant temperature reaches a predetermined level. The CVSCO valve is mounted in the cylinder head on six cylinder engines and in the intake manifold on 318 CID engines. When the engine coolant temperature is below 138 degrees F (neutral), 108 degrees F (orange) or 86 degrees F (green) the valve opens allowing manifold vacuum to operate.
