318 & 360 2BBL Truck without 02 Feedback Emission System (Holley 2280 Carburetor or 2245 Carburetor)

1. Remove air cleaner assembly, vacuum hoses, throttle linkage, etc.

2. Locate and center punch 1/4" from end of mixture screw housing. Punch the right bank in the center of the housing and the left bank punch slightly higher (see Figure 3).
3. Using a 3/16" drill bit, drill the right and left bank at a 45~ angle to the housing. The left bank needs the drill motor raised slightly to clear a vacuum nipple.

4. Use a small drift, punch, or "L" shaped Allen wrench to pry out plug. Retain plug for reinstallation.

CAUTION: NEVER PLACE ANY TOOL AGAINST THE MIXTURE SCREW DURING THIS OPERATION.

5. Reinstall air cleaner assembly, vacuum hoses, throttle linkage, etc.
6. Perform propane idle RPM adjustment per applicable service manual procedure.

7. Reinstall concealment plug.
