On subject model vehicles equipped with air conditioning, a customer complaint of cold left driver's foot and/or excessive heat on the driver's right leg or lap area when in the heat mode can be resolved by removing and discarding the sound cover from the steering column.

This cover is mounted below the steering column and is held in place by a fastener to the steering column mounting stud (push-on or machine nut) and a clip to the lower column panel.
