SYMPTOM/CONDITION

^ Vehicle's dome lamp remains on with doors closed.

^ Customer complaints of battery discharging.

DIAGNOSIS

Be certain headlamp switch is in the dome lamp "off" position. Manually depress all door pillar dome lamp switches. If dome lamp goes out with all switches manually depressed, proceed to open and close one door at a time to isolate which switch is causing problem.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Replace suspect door pillar dome lamp switch with a new longer switch, PN 4221643.
