SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Subject vehicles may have seat backs which move backward or forward slightly (chucking) causing customer concern or discomfort.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove shield assembly from back of seat by removing two screws at the bottom and pulling shield down and rearward.
2. Loosen screw which attaches the cable assembly bracket to the recliner assembly.
3. Allow assembly to position itself. Tighten screw to 95 inch pounds. Do not pull down on cable while tightening screw.
4. Check the seat back for "chuck" by grasping the seat back at the top and rocking it fore and aft. If "chuck" has stopped, install shield assembly.
5. If seat back continues to "chuck" it will be necessary to replace the recliner assembly.
