POSSIBLE CAUSES
- DIFFERENTIAL PINION PIN FAILURE
- DRIVE PLATE CRACKED OR BENT
- GEARTRAIN PLANETARY FAILURE
- FAILED PUMP BUSHING (MAY ALSO SET TCM CODE P0740)

Repair Instructions:
DIFFERENTIAL PINION PIN FAILURE
Replace Differential Pinion Shaft.
Perform Transaxle 42LE Verification TEST VER-1A Verification Test VER-1A - Transmission Control System
DRIVE PLATE CRACKED OR BENT
Replace torque Converter Drive Plate.
Perform Transaxle 42LE Verification TEST VER-1A Verification Test VER-1A - Transmission Control System
GEAR TRAIN PLANETARY FAILURE
Replace defective Planetary Gear.
Perform Transaxle 42LE Verification TEST VER-1A Verification Test VER-1A - Transmission Control System
FAILED PUMP BUSHING (MAY ALSO SET TCM CODE P0740)
Replace Front Pump and torque Converter.
