MODELS:

2001 - 2004 (ST) Sebring Coupe/Stratus Coupe

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built prior to April 13, 2004 (MDH0413XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

This may occur more frequently in high ambient temperatures >29° C (85° F) with high humidity. Keying "OFF" the ignition and restarting can eliminate the condition. The cause has been identified as a weak ignition switch return spring which may keep the switch from returning to the proper position within the "Start" to "Run" transfer.

DIAGNOSIS:

This condition is difficult to reproduce. If the customer describes a condition where accessories such as the radio are inoperative after initial vehicle start, replace the ignition switch with p/n 8602A007.
