Some vehicles may exhibit an interior gurgling sound, overheating, and/or poor interior heating at idle due to low coolant level. The low coolant level may be caused by incorrect coolant reservoir tank hose routing.
DIAGNOSIS:
Visually inspect the coolant tank's hose routing. An outline of the hose may be seen as a dark shadow by looking through the reservoir with a light. The hose should reach to the bottom of the tank (Fig. 1). If the hose is caught at the top of the tank, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Ensure proper hose routing by removing the reservoir tank cap and reinstalling it. Take care to visually confirm the proper hose position during installation.
2. If the hose is permanently deformed such that it cannot be correctly installed easily, replace the reservoir cap assembly (includes the hose) with p/n MR439560.
