Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect negative (-) battery cable from battery post and isolate.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
CAB Attaching Screws:
3. Remove 3 screws attaching CAB to HCU .
CAB Removal/Installation:
4. Slide CAB off HCU.
CAB Wiring Connection:
5. Disconnect 47-way wiring connector at CAB.
6. Remove CAB.
INSTALLATION
1. Connect 47-way wiring connector at CAB .
2. Align CAB solenoids and pump/motor wiring connector with HCU valves and connector passage. Slide CAB onto HCU.
3. Install 3 screws mounting CAB to HCU. Tighten CAB mounting screws to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) torque.
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Connect negative battery cable to battery post.
6. Hook up DRBIII(R) to initialize CAB. Check and clear any faults.
