Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove air inlet tube for the air cleaner box.
3. Disconnect quick connect hose from the top of the air pump.
4. Raise vehicle and support.

Air Pump Mounting:

5. Remove 3 mounting nuts.

Electrical Connector Locking Tab:

6. Unlock electrical connector.

Connector Retaining Clip:

7. Unclip electrical connector from mounting bracket.

Depress Tab On Connector:

8. Press tab and disconnect electrical connector.
9. Disconnect quick connect hose from inlet of the air pump.

Air Pump Removed:

10. Remove air pump from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

Air Pump Removed:

1. Install air pump to vehicle.
2. Connect quick connect hose to inlet of air pump.

Depress Tab On Connector:

3. Connect electrical connector.

Connector Retaining Clip:

4. Clip electrical connector to mounting bracket.

Air Pump Mounting:

5. Install 3 mounting nuts and tighten.
6. Lower vehicle.
7. Connect quick connect hose to the top of air pump.
8. Install air inlet tube for the air cleaner box.
9. Connect negative battery cable.
