Cylinder Head Surface Variation - Head-to-Block, Head-to-Manifolds, Warpage

Inspect the cylinder head for out-of-flatness, using a straightedge and a feeler gauge. If tolerances exceed 0.0508 mm (0.002 in.) replace the cylinder head.

M-12 Bolts
Step 1 34 Nm (25 Ft. Lbs.)
Step 2 54 Nm (40 Ft. Lbs.)
Step 3 Turn 90�
M-8 Bolts
Step 1 20 Nm (15 Ft. Lbs.)
Step 2 34 Nm (25 Ft. Lbs.)

Camshaft Sprocket-Bolt 122 Nm (90 Ft. Lbs.)

Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head 31 Nm (270 In. Lbs.)

Intake manifold retaining bolts Torque fasteners to 12 Nm (106 In. Lbs.)
Tighten in sequence from the middle bolts towards the outside in a crisscross pattern.

Throttle Body Bolts 12Nm (105 In. Lbs.)
