9003/9004 - POWER TOP CONTROL MODULE EEPROM ERROR





- When Monitored: Continuous with the ignition on.
- Set Condition: An attempt to program/write to the internal EEPROM failed.





Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding.

Diagnostic Test

1. Power Top Control Module (PTCM)





NOTE: This DTC indicates an internal PTCM fault.


With the DRBIII(R), read and record the PTCM DTCs and then erase the PTCM DTCs

Perform 3 ignition key cycles, leaving the ignition key on for a minimum of 30 seconds per cycle.

With the DRBIII(R), read the PTCM DTCs.

Did this DTC set again?

Yes

- Replace the Power Top Control Module.
- Perform POWER TOP VERIFICATION TEST.Power Top Verification Test

No

- The condition that caused this DTC to set is currently not present.
- Perform POWER TOP VERIFICATION TEST Power Top Verification Test.
