Tire Pressure Monitoring System: 8020
8020 - LEFT REAR TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR/TRANSMITTER
When Monitored and Set Condition
- When Monitored: With the ignition ON, the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) module monitors the Tire Pressure Sensor/Transmitters approximately once a minute (60 - 68 seconds) when the vehicle speed is above 33 km/h (20 MPH).
- Set Condition: If the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) module cannot detect a signal from the Left Rear Tire Pressure Sensor for a period of 30 minutes, this DTC will be set.
Diagnostic Test
1. READING TPM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
NOTE: DTC 8020 will always be set in conjunction with DTC 8004.
NOTE: Under certain operating conditions (slow speed, stop-and-go driving, prolonged standing) the Tire Pressure Sensors can stop transmitting. This condition can be misdiagnosed as an inoperative Tire Pressure Sensor. Take care to fully diagnose any Sensor/Transmitter Failure code.
