Top Catch Adjustment

TOP CATCH ADJUSTMENT

NOTE: Right side is shown. Left side is similar.

NOTE: The hydraulic system will automatically lose hydraulic pressure after approximately 10 minutes. To regain hydraulic pressure, press the convertible top switch once when the convertible top buzzer sounds.

1. Lower the convertible top.

NOTE: Outward pressure must be applied to the retainer hook in order to eliminate any play.

2. Measure the distance between the centering pin and the end of the retainer hook. The correct measurement is 82-83 mm (3.23-3.27 in).

3. Remove the bolts (1) and the top catch cover (2) from the convertible top (3).

4. Remove the retainer clip (1) and disconnect the linkage (2) from the top catch assembly (3).

NOTE: Each rotation of the rod end results in 0.5 mm (0.02 in) of adjustment.

5. Loosen the lock nut (1) and rotate the rod end (2) until the proper adjustment is achieved.

6. Tighten the lock nut to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).

7. Attach the rod end to the top catch assembly and install the retainer clip.

8. Install the top latch cover.

9. Operate the convertible top and check for proper alignment.
