Header Bow






HEADER BOW

NOTE: Hydraulic pressure in the convertible top system may deplete after 10 minutes. To prevent the top from lowering, press the convertible top switch momentarily after the system beeps. This will re-energize the hydraulic system.

1. Position the convertible top so the top is lowered into the luggage compartment, and the tonneau cover is open. Support the tonneau cover.




2. Remove the screws (2) and the top cover retainer (1).




3. Remove the header bow weatherstrips (1) from the header bow (2).




4. Remove the screws (2) and the top catch covers (2) from the header bow.




5. Move the convertible top (1) into an upright position, as shown.




6. Remove the rivet (2) from the top cover retainer (1).




7. Disconnect both cover support cables (2) from the header bow (1), and fold the top cover back.




8. Remove the top cover support straps (2) from the header bow (1).




9. Disconnect both detent cables (2) from the header bow (1).




10. Remove the detent strap slide protectors (1) from the header bow.

CAUTION: For the following steps, an assistant is needed to hold the header bow.





11. Remove the retainer clips and bolts (1) from the front of the over-center linkage.




12. Remove the retainer clips and bolts (1) from the header bow to 2nd rail joint, and remove the header bow.

13. Remove the release handle.





NOTE: Be sure to count and retain any shims present to ensure proper installation.

14. Remove the left and right top catches (1) from the header bow (2).




15. Remove the top catch center linkage (1) from the header bow (2).
