Repair Procedure
Vehicles equipped with an electronic navigator or travel computer.1. Remove the 90~ formed hose which is connected between the fuel pump outlet and the flow sensor inlet (discard hose).
2. Remove the thermostat housing bolt which is closest to the carburetor. Attach the bracket on the reservoir to the thermostat housing, using the bolt just removed. Apply Loctite/Mopar, PN 4318034, to the bolt threads before reinstalling. Retorque the bolt to 12 to 17 foot pounds (Figure 19).
3. Connect the 7" long hose already attached to the reservoir inlet, to the fuel pump outlet nipple and clamp hose (Figure 20).
4. Using the 90~ formed hose supplied with this kit, connect one end of the hose to the reservoir outlet nipple. Connect the other end of this hose to the flow sensor inlet tube. Use the supplied hose clamps, one on each end (Figure 20).
5. Check all hose clamps to be certain they are properly positioned behind the sealing bead on the hose nipples.
6. Start the engine and check the installation for leaks.
Vehicles not equipped with electronic navigator or travel computer.
1. Remove the 90~ formed hose which is connected between the fuel pump outlet and the carburetor inlet (discard hose).
2. Remove the thermostat housing bolt which is closest to the carburetor. Attach the bracket on the reservoir to the thermostat housing, using the bolt just removed. When reinstalling the bolt, be certain to use Loctite/Mopar, PN 4318034, on the threads. Retorque the bolt to 12 to 17 foot pounds (Figure 19).
3. Connect the 7" long hose already attached to the reservoir inlet, to the fuel pump outlet nipple and clamp hose (Figure 21).
4. Connect one end of the 4.5" straight hose to the reservoir outlet nipple. Connect the other end of this hose to the carburetor inlet nipple. Use the supplied loose clamps, one on each end (Figure 21).
5. Check all hose clamps to be certain they are properly positioned behind the sealing beads on the hose nipples.
6. Start the engine and check the installation for leaks.

Install label next to or near the original VECI label.
