Page 0-19 - *FICD Adjustment for Air Conditioning Unit (whenever adjusting the idle speed)

1. Setting conditions:

^ Coolant temperature 185 to 205~F (85 to 95~C)
^ All lights and accessOFF ories
^ Transmission Neutral
^ Parking brake Apply
^ On vehicles with power steering, set the tires in the straight ahead position to prevent the pump from being loaded.

2. Make sure curb idle speed is within the specified speed and reset it by readjusting the speed adjusting screw (SAS 1) if necessary - Figure 1.

3. Switch the air conditioning ON.

4. Adjust the engine speed to the specified speed with the throttle opener setting screw (SAS 2) - Figure 1.

5. Turn ON/Off the air conditioner switch several times to check the throttle opener for operation (lever up/down).

Page 24-29 - Throttle Opener Setting Procedures

The throttle opener system shall be adjusted, under the following conditions, according to the setting procedures described below:

1. Setting conditions:

^ Coolant temperature 185 to 205~F (85 to 95~C)
^ All lights and accessOFF ories
^ Transmission Neutral
^ Parking brake Apply
^ On vehicles with power steering, set the tires in the straight ahead position to prevent the pump from being loaded.
