SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Loose feeling or rattle of center armrest due to excessive spacer clearance.
PARTS REQUIRED
1 - Spacer Kit PN 4282596
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Apply parking brake lever to allow armrest to move to the rear. From underside of armrest, remove the two (2) Phillips head screws holding the armrest to the slide at the rear.
2. Release parking brake lever and move armrest forward. From underside of armrest, remove the four (4) Phillips head screws holding the armrest to the slide at the front, and remove armrest.
3. Remove and record position of the three (3) shouldered screws holding the slide to the main bracket.
4. Carefully remove slide and discard old spacers.
5.. From underside of slide, position each new spacer from Spacer Kit PN 4282596 through slide and install shoulder screw through slot and into spacer.

NOTE: This is a slight press fit.
6. Reposition slide to main bracket (Figure 1) making sure the fork on the slide is properly located on return lever (Figure 2).
7. Tighten the three (3) shoulder screws to 25 inch-pounds.
8. Place armrest into position on slide and install and tighten the four (4) screws at the front of the armrest.
9. Apply parking brake to allow armrest to move to the rear and install and tighten the two (2) screws at the rear of the armrest.
10. Operate armrest several times to verify that it will lock in the forward position and retract to the rear.
