4B Checking Engine Timing

1. Connect a suitable timing device to engine and set timing to 10° on 6-225/3.7L and V8-318/5.2L engines or 5° on V6-238/3.9L engine during cranking.
2. If engine starts, reset to timing specifications.
3. If engine does not start, check valve timing and compression.
