THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT
Exc. 6-181 Engine
1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature.
2. Remove snap ring, then check clearance between throttle stud and cable clevis.
3. If adjustment is required, proceed as follows:
a. Loosen cable clamp attaching nut.
b. Pull all slack out of cable, using head of throttle stud as a gauge. Do not pull cable so tight that it moves the throttle away from curb idle position.
c. Torque cable clamp attaching nut to 45 inch lbs. and move cable clevis back on round portion of stud.
4. Install snap ring and check for proper operation.
