Float Setting

Fig. 4 Float setting adjustment:

1. Remove air horn, air horn gasket power piston assembly and plastic float bowl insert.
2. Hold float bowl retainer firmly in position.
3. Push float down lightly against needle.
4. Measure float height from top of casting to top of float at a point 3/16 inch from end of float, Fig. 4.
5. If float level is too high, hold retainer in position and push down on center of float pontoon to obtain correct setting.
6. If float level is too low, bend float upward to obtain correct setting.
7. Install plastic float bowl insert, power piston assembly and air horn gasket.
8. Install air horn.
