6C Resistance of Ignition Coil Secondary Windings

1. Disconnect ignition coil wire from coil and connect an ohmmeter between coil negative and secondary terminals.
2. If ohmmeter reading is between 8,500 and 17,500 ohms on 6-225/3.7L and V8-318/5.2L or a reading between 9,400 and 11,700 on V6-238/3.9L, check coil with load test. If test is correct, proceed to Step D.
3. If ohmmeter does not indicate above readings, replace ignition coil.
