Invert air horn, with gasket removed, and measure distance from bottom of float to surface of air horn, using a suitable depth gauge, Fig. 5. If reading is not within limits, the shim located under needle seat must be changed. Use shim kit MD606952 or equivalent, which has three shims with thicknesses of .012 inch, .016 inch and .020 inch. Adding or removing a shim will change float level by three times the thickness of the shim.
