Disassembly

1. Compress clamps, then remove water hoses from choke assembly.
2. Using a suitable tool, remove staked portions of choke cover screws.
3. Using a hammer and punch, gently tap edge of remaining screw counterclockwise until is removed, Fig. 2.
4. Remove choke cover from carburetor. Check relationship between punched mark and the scribed line on choke pinion plate. During assembly line and punch mark must be aligned to this position, Fig. 3.
5. Remove ``E'' clip from throttle opener link. Remove throttle opener screws and position opener aside.
6. Disconnect ground electrical connector from cutoff solenoid. Remove attaching screw, then position solenoid aside.
7. Remove throttle return spring and damper spring.
8. Remove ``E'' clips and choke unloader link from carburetor.
9. Disconnect vacuum hose and link from vacuum chamber. Remove attaching screws and position vacuum chamber aside.
10. Disconnect accelerator operating rod link from throttle lever.
11. Remove 6 air horn attaching screws, then separate air horn from carburetor body.
12. Remove screws attaching vacuum hose connector to air horn assembly.
13. Remove hoses and connector.
14. Slide out float pin, then remove float assembly.
15. Remove and discard air horn gasket.
16. Loosen retainer, then remove needle seat and screen assembly.
17. Remove venturi retainers and both venturi. Discard O-rings.
18. Remove primary and secondary main jets from carburetor.
19. Remove pedestals and discard gaskets, Fig. 4.
20. Remove bowl vent solenoid attaching screws, then separate bowl vent from air horn. Discard O-ring and seal.
21. Remove coasting air valve screws, then separate valve from air horn.
22. Remove enrichment valve attaching screws, then separate valve from air horn.
23. Remove jet.
24. Remove air switching valve attaching screws, then separate valve from air horn.
25. Remove screw, lock and primary jet assembly.
26. Remove screw, lock and secondary jet assembly.
27. Remove primary and secondary air bleed jets from top of air horn.
28. Invert air horn and carefully remove pump weight, check ball and nut.
29. Remove accelerator pump attaching screws, then separate accelerator pump from air horn assembly.
30. Remove jet air control valve attaching screws, then separate valve from throttle body.
31. Remove ``E'' clip from sub EGR valve lever. Carefully slide pin from lever and sub EGR valve.
32. Remove valve from throttle body assembly.
