Two Wheel Drive

Remove
1. Remove the front brake assembly with the brake hose connected.
2. Use wire to suspend the front brake assembly from the upper arm so that the front brake assembly won't fall.

Caution : Do not twist the brake hose.







3. Remove the front hub assembly from the knuckle together with the outer bearing and washer.
4. Inspect all components for wear and/or damage.

Installation






1. Tighten the slotted nut by the following procedure: Tighten to 30 Nm (22 ft.lbs.), loosen to 0 Nm (0 ft.Ibs.), retighten to 8 Nm (6 ft.lbs.)






2. Install the cotter pin. If the knuckle spindle hole and slotted nut groove are not in alignment, back off the slotted nut 30° maximum.






3. Apply a semi-drying sealant to the hub cap at portion shown in illustration and install.
