Automatic Transmission/Transaxle: Adjustments

THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE ADJUST

1. Check engine idle speed and adjust as necessary.
2. Ensure carburetor throttle lever and throttle cable bracket are not bent or deformed.
3. Measure distance between inner cable stopper and cover end with carburetor throttle valve fully open. Distance should measure 2.047-2.086 inches.
4. Adjust inner cable bracket upward or downward as necessary until measurement is within specifications.
