Clutch Switch: Testing and Inspection

Clutch Switch Test (Manual Transmission Only)

1. Disconnect double connector at switch pigtail, then connect a suitable 12 volt source to either terminal.
2. Connect a suitable test lamp between other terminal and ground. Test lamp should light when clutch pedal is in normal position or go off when clutch pedal is depressed.
3. If test lamp does not respond as indicated, clutch switch is defective.
