Poor Acceleration (Cold)

Definition: Hesitates, stumbles, starts to stall. Possible popping noise in the intake manifold.
POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION
Choke vacuum kick misadjusted Adjust choke vacuum kick, refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES

Manifold heat valve stuck or passage plugged Clean out plugged manifold heat passage, repair or replace heat valve as necessary

Secondary air valve lockout misadjusted Perform air valve lockout adjustment, refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES

Heated air inlet system malfunction Refer to Powertrain Management/Emission Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Procedures
