Definition: Fuel economy as measured by an actual road test is noticeably lower than expected. Also, economy is noticeably lower than it was on this car at one time, as previously shown by an actual road test.

Choke valve/linkage binding/misadjusted Lubricate binding choke valve, perform choke and choke linkage adjustment, refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES

Idle speed and mixture misadjusted Perform idle speed and mixture adjustments, refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES

Accelerator pump discharge ball not seating Replace accelerator pump and discharge ball, refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES

Power piston/spring distorted/bent Replace distorted or bent piston/spring, refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES

Metering jets/rods bent/loose/incorrect size Verify correct size, replace any bent or distorted component, refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES, and SPECIFICATIONS

Float level incorrect, needle/seat leaking Verify needle seat not leaking, replace if necessary, perform float level adjust, refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES, and ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES
