B X31 Circuit

1. Turn ignition switch off and disconnect 60-way connector.
2. Connect a voltmeter between ground and X31 brown/red wire in cavity No. 9 of 60-way connector, then turn ignition switch on.
3. If voltmeter is reading battery voltage, replace SMEC.
4. If voltmeter reads zero, locate and repair open circuit in X31 brown/red wire.
