Front Seat Assembly

FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
Removal, Right Front Seat
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.

Front Seat Attachment:





2. Remove the four nuts/washers that fasten the seat riser to the floor pan.
3. Lower the hoist and remove the right seat assembly.

Removal, Left Front Seat
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.

Front Seat Attachment:





2. Remove the four nuts/washers that fasten the seat riser to the floor pan.

Fuel Door Remote Cable:





3. Tilt seat backwards, reach under the front of the seat and grab the cable close to the clip that retains it to the lever assembly.
4. Pull the cable towards the drivers door until it is released from the lever assembly.
5. Turn the cable 90° and push inward to separate the cable end from the lever assembly.
6. Disconnect electrical connections.
7. Remove the seat and riser assembly.

Installation, Right Front Seat

Front Seat Attachment:





1. Insert seat riser studs through the holes in floor pan.
2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
3. Torque the four seat riser to floor pan nuts to 94 Nm (70 Ft. Lbs.).
4. Lower the hoist.


Installation, Left Front Seat
1. Insert the seat riser studs through the holes in the floor pan to locate seat properly.
2. Tilt seat backwards, reach under the front of the seat and connect the cable end to the lever assembly.
3. Insert cable into the clip on the lever assembly.
4. Raise vehicle on hoist.
5. Torque the four seat riser to floor pan nuts to 94 Nm (70 Ft. Lbs.).
6. Connect electrical components.
7. Lower the hoist.

SEAT RISER, RIGHT SIDE
Removal
1. Remove seat and riser assembly from vehicle floor pan.
2. Unlock the stowage box, and pull it from the riser until it stops.
3. Pull the spring clip in the center of the stowage box track outward on both sides, and remove the stowage box.
4. Remove seat riser rear trim covers.

Right Seat Riser And Stowage Box:





5. Remove four nuts and separate seat from riser assembly.
6. Remove the roller assemblies.

Installation
1. Install both roller assemblies and torque screws to 3 Nm (24 In. Lbs.).
2. Set the seat on the riser assembly, start the four nuts, and torque to 26 Nm (230 In. Lbs.).
3. Place the stowage box tracks on the roller assemblies, and push it all the way into the riser.
4. Install the seat and riser assembly using the procedures given in this section.

STOWAGE BOX
Removal
1. Unlock the stowage box, and pull it from the riser until it stops.
2. Pull the spring clip in the center of the stowage box track outward on both sides, and remove the stowage box.

Installation
1. Place the stowage box tracks on the roller assemblies, and push it all the way into the riser.

FRONT SEAT BACK RELEASE LATCH MECHANISM, RIGHT SIDE
Removal, right side inboard
1. Remove the stowage box.
2. Remove the seat from the seat riser.
3. Remove the plastic covers.
4. Lift armrest to a position midway between full up and full down; Remove the armrest.
5. Remove the armrest support.
6. Detrim the seat cushion and back as necessary to allow access to the release mechanism.
7. Remove the armrest support bracket.
8. Remove the recliner assembly.
9. Reverse this procedure to install.

Removal, right side outboard
1. Remove the stowage box.
2. Remove the seat from the seat riser assembly.
3. Remove the plastic covers.
4. Detrim the seat cushion and back as necessary to allow access to the release mechanism.
5. Remove the recliner assembly.
6. Reverse this procedure to install.

SEAT RISER, LEFT SIDE
Removal
1. Remove the seat and riser from the vehicle floor pan.
2. Remove the seat riser covers.

Left Seat Adjusters And Riser:





3. Remove the four nuts and separate the seat adjuster from the seat riser assembly.
4. Remove the fuel door remote handle and lever assembly.

Installation
1. Install the fuel door remote lever assembly and torque the bolts to 4 Nm (35 In. Lbs.).
2. Install the fuel door remote handle and torque the screw to 7 Nm (60 In. Lbs.).
3. Place the seat and adjuster assembly on the riser, install the four nuts, and torque the nuts to 23 Nm (200 In. Lbs.).
4. In stall the seat riser covers.
5. Install the seat and riser assembly into the vehicle.
