With Manufacturer's Scantool

This mode is used to display any fault codes stored in the diagnostic memory of the SMEC.
1. On 1987 models, place Read/Hold switch on readout box in Read position. On 1988 models, set diagnostic readout box to ``Engine Off Test.''
2. On all models, cycle ignition switch on, off, on, off, and on within five seconds.
3. Read codes as displayed on readout box. Placing the Read/Hold switch in the Hold position will stop the display of codes, returning to the Read position will resume the display.
