NS-16E Check Distributor Pickup Harness Control (N7 Ckt)

Complete No Start Test 16-Step D, before proceeding.
1. With distributor pickup harness connector disconnected and ignition switch Off, disconnect 60-way connector from SMEC.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between the N7 gray/black wire in cavity 3 of distributor pickup harness connector and the N7 gray/black wire in cavity 47 of 60-way connector.
3. If ohmmeter indicates infinity, repair open circuit between gray/black wire of cavity 47 in 60-way connector and the distributor pickup harness connector.
4. If ohmmeter indicates continuity, replace SMEC.
NOTE: Before replacing the SMEC, check the N7 termianls in cavity No. 47 of the 60-way connector to make sure it is not damaged causing a poor connection.
