Power Steering Gear Replacement

REMOVAL

1. Center steering gear and remove steering gear arm using a suitable tool.
2. Disconnect pressure and return hoses.
3. Disconnect steering gear-to-shaft coupling.
4. Remove steering gear-to-frame bolts and remove gear from chassis.

INSTALLATION

1. Position steering gear to frame, then install and tighten bolts finger tight.
2. Install bolts in coupling.
3. Reposition gear to frame to eliminate binding and torque bolts to specifications.
4. Connect pressure and return hoses.
5. Center steering gear and install steering gear arm retaining nut.
