5 Check On/Off Switch & Stalk Feed
1. Connect diagnostic readout box to the engine harness connector.
2. Turn ignition switch On, then check for voltage in dark blue wire of speed control switch connector.
3. If the dark blue wire has battery voltage, proceed as follows:
a. With speed control switch On, check yellow/red wire for voltage.
b. If yellow/red wire does not have battery voltage, replace speed control switch.
c. If yellow/red wire has battery voltage, disconnect engine controller 60-way connector and inspect cavity 8 of 60-way connector for properly installed yellow/red wire, repair the connector as necessary and re-test.
d. If cavity 8 of 60-way connector is satisfactory, with key and control switch On, test cavity 8 for voltage.
e. If cavity 8 has battery voltage, replace engine controller.
f. If yellow/red wire does not have battery voltage, repair open circuit of yellow/red wire between engine controller and control switch.
4. If dark blue wire does not have battery voltage, proceed as follows:
a. Test for voltage at both sides of speed control fuse.
b. If fuse has voltage at both sides, repair open circuit of dark blue wire between fuse and control switch connector.
c. If fuse has voltage at only one side, replace fuse and re-test.
d. If fuse shows no voltage at either side, repair open circuit of dark blue wire to speed control fuse.
