Test 7 - Pick-Up Coil Short Check

Testing For Short At Each Pickup Coil Terminal:

1. Check for short at each lead of pick-up with an ohmmeter by connecting the negative lead to a good ground and the positive lead to the pick-up coil leads.
- If there is no short refer to TEST 8
- If the pick-up is shorted replace it and adjust the, pick-up coil air gap. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES for air gap adjustment.
