Choke Rod Fast Idle Cam (Plug Gauge Method)
Choke Rod Fast Idle Cam Adjustment (Plug Gauge Method):
1. Attach a rubber band to the green tang of the intermediate choke shaft, and open the throttle to allow the choke valve to close.
2. Place the cam follower on the second step of the fast idle cam against the rise of the high step. If the cam follower does not contact the cam, turn in the fast idle speed screw until it does.
3. Apply a slight opening pressure on the choke blade, and insert a .125 in. plug gauge between the top of the choke blade and the air horn casting.
4. Make the adjustment by bending the tang of the fast idle cam until a slight drag is felt when the gauge is removed. Remove the rubber band.
