Test 2 - Electronic Control Unit Short Check

1. Turn the ignition OFF and then remove the four wire connector of the ECU control unit.
2. Turn the ignition ON. Using the jumper wire again momentarily ground the coil negative terminal while holding the coil secondary wire about 1/4 inch from a good ground.
- If a spark is obtained replace the ECU.
- If no spark is obtained, measure the voltage at the coil positive terminal. The positive terminal voltage should be within one volt of battery voltage. If battery voltage is obtained refer to TEST 3.
