Front Door: Adjustments

1. Use a wrench to loosen the hinge mounting bolts on the body side and then adjust so that the clearance around the door is uniform on all sides.

CAUTION: Attach protection tape to the fender edges near the place where the hinge is installed.





2. At the facing surface of the front fender and door panel, loosen the installation bolts at the door side, and then adjust by increasing or decreasing the number of shims.
3. At the facing surfaces of the door and rear pillar outer panel, adjust by loosening the striker installation screws.
4. Adjust the engagement of the striker and door latch by increasing or decreasing the number of striker shims, and/or by moving the striker.
