Switch Test Mode

The Switch Test Mode is used to determine if specific switch inputs are being received by the computer.
1. Enter system into Diagnostic Test Mode Display and wait for Code 55 to appear.
2. Ensure air conditioning and heated rear window switches are Off.
3. Depress ATM button on diagnostic readout tool, then immediately move Read/Hold switch to Read position.
4. When Code 00 is displayed, turn air conditioning switch to On position. If computer is receiving input, the display will change to Code 88 when switch is turned on and revert to Code 00 when switch is turned Off.
5. Repeat step 4 for heated rear window switch.

SWITCH TEST CODES

Code 00--Air conditioning or defroster and heated rear window switches are off.
Code 88--Air conditioning, defroster or heated rear window switch is on.
