SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some of the listed vehicles may exhibit an audible moaning wind noise at the A-pillar when being driven at highway speeds. This condition can be eliminated by installing a new secondary drip rail weatherstrip on both sides of the vehicle. The new secondary weatherstrip entered production during the early 1991 model production. To identify the old style verses the new style, refer to the illustrations below.
PARTS REQUIRED:
2 55134585 Weatherstrip, Secondary
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Open the door, locate and remove the secondary weatherstrip from the drip rail flange.
2. Install the new weatherstrip beginning as far to the rear as possible on the drip rail.
3. Road test the vehicle.
