NS-15B Check the SMEC Ground (K9 Ckt)

Complete No Start Test 15-Step A, before proceeding.
1. With the ignition switch Off, disconnect the 60-way connector from the SMEC.
2. Connect one lead of an ohmmeter to the system ground eyelet, then touch the other lead of the ohmmeter to the K9 light blue/red wire in cavity 15 and 16 of the 60-way connector.
3. If ohmmeter indicates less than .5 ohm of resistance in both wires, replace the SMEC.
4. If ohmmeter indicates more than .5 ohm of resistance at one or both wires, repair K9 light blue/red wires for high resistance to ground eyelet.
5. If ohmmeter indicates infinity, repair wires for an open circuit to the wiring harness splice. If no open is found, replace the SMEC.
