Fuel Tank Draining Procedure

FUEL TANK DRAINING PROCEDURE

Fuel Tank:

1. Remove fuel filler cap and perform Fuel System Pressure Release procedure. Service and Repair
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Raise vehicle on hoist.
4. Remove drain tube rubber cap, located on crossmember in front of or on the side of the fuel tank and connect either a portable holding tank or a siphon hose to the drain tube.
5. Drain fuel tank dry into holding tank or a properly labeled "gasoline" safety container.
