Replacement engine controllers for the subject vehicles have been superseded to new controllers offering improved engine A.I.S. (Automatic Idle Speed) control.

DIAGNOSIS

Before proceeding to the repair procedure, verify the system is functioning as designed using the appropriate diagnostic test procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This repair procedure involves replacing the engine controller (SMEC) with a revised engine controller.

1. Replace engine controller with appropriate engine controller as outlined in service manual.

POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
