Definition: Strong fuel odor coming from the engine compartment. Visual inspection shows carburetor area wet with fuel.
POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION
Float needle dirty/worn, seat loose Remove and clean or replace needle and seat. Carburetor Overhaul/Replacement

Float level misadjusted Perform float level adjustment. Carburetor Overhaul/Replacement

Internal or cross circuit leakage Perform fuel pump pressure test for excess fuel pressure.
