Fuel Pump: Description and Operation
Fuel Pump:
The fuel pump is a mechanical, lever operated, diaphragm type pump. It is mounted on the cylinder head, between the runners for the intake manifold and is actuated by a camshaft driven pushrod. The pump supplies fuel to the carburetor at a constant pressure of 20-29 kPa (2.8-4.2 psi), controlled by means of an integral pressure regulating check valve.
