Stalls When Cold

Definition: Stumbles and hesitates on acceleration, may stall on deceleration or acceleration.
POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION
Choke/fast idle screw misadjusted Perform choke and fast idle adjustments. Fast Idle Adjustment

Choke shaft binding/sticking Lubricate choke shaft, replace if necessary.

Faulty heat coil/choke control Replace defective component.

Idle air bleeds/idle passage plugged Clean out plugged idle air passages.

Incorrect float level Perform float level adjustment. Carburetor Overhaul/Replacement

Fuel pump low/no output Perform fuel pump test for volume, and pressure.
Replace defective pump and or fuel filter.

Exhaust manifold heat valve stuck open Lubricate heat valve, replace if necessary
