Heating and Air Conditioning: Description and Operation

Rear Heater-A/C Components:

The rear Heat-A/C unit is a manually operated, separate system that utilizes the same Compressor, Condenser, Filter/Dryer, and hot water source as the front Heat-A/C system.
The rear fan is normally controlled by the rear switch when the drivers switch is in the "ON" position. If the drivers switch is in the "Off", "LOW", or "HIGH" positions, the rear switch will be overridden.

Rear Heater-A/C Outlets:

Air is drawn by the fan from inside the vehicle, pushed through the Heater Core and A/C Evaporator (if equipped). In the "HEAT" mode, the air is discharged through the floor outlets. In the "FAN" or "A/C" mode, the air is discharged through the upper air outlets.
