Throttle Position Switch: Description and Operation

The [1][2]idle position switch is a contact type switch, which is closed when the throttle valve is at idle opening position. The switch is installed at the tip of the Idle Speed Control (ISC) servo and the ISC lever pushes the push pin to close the switch contacts when the throttle valve is at the idle opening position. When the throttle valve is opened the push pin is released and the switch contacts are opened.
